Agile Awards 2016
I recently wrote a post asking for votes for the Agile Award of the person who has done the most to promote Agile globally. The post was titled ‘A vote for me is a vote for better working lives’. The title is a bit tongue in cheek as it reminded of the sort of things politicians say when they are asking for votes.
However, there is a seriousness to it too. The AWA vision is to make better working lives for everyone through the tools of agile and lean.
So voting for me was not only helping AWA to keep working towards its vision but also a recognition that the work AWA does in the agile community and the organisations and people we help through the AWA consultancy is not just me, but all of the AWA crew and the wider community who have made this possible.
Well, we won the award.
I am over the moon that we all got the recognition for the work we have all done over the last two years. That includes everyone who has ever come to the meetups, the training or the conferences.
In addition, to this award, I was also very surprised and delighted to also have won the most popular agile conference speaker too.
Congratulations to all the other winners in the other categories, too.
Thank you to Yoh and the Agile Awards for putting on this event and for organising it each year.
Thank you to all who have voted, and who have supported us in this amazing journey.
