7 Myths Standing in the Way of Organisational Agility
This month we have the honour and privilege to be welcoming Antoinette Coetzee – a talented and highly experienced international Agile Coach – to share her insights and wisdom at our next AWA NYC meetup.
We will discover what the 7 Myths Standing in the Way of Organizational Agility are, and why even though there has been an “explosion” of agile tools and practices beyond software development, our organizations aren’t necessarily that happy with the improvements brought about agile ways of working.
ABOUT THIS SESSION:
Agile at the team level has been around for almost 25 years. Over the last few years, it has grown from a product development framework to IT department approach, from the software development arena to the larger organization.
We have seen the advent of scaled frameworks like SAFe, we have seen an explosion of tools, we are now onto Business Agility and the application of Agile in non-software companies.
Yet most organizations are still not happy with the improvements brought about by an Agile way of working.
In this talk, we will explore the issue of agility from multiple angles. We will look at the impact of Leadership, Organizational Structure, Culture, Products, and Technical Practices, to name but a few. Please join us to dismantle some of your own hidden assumptions and find a path into great agility!

I work at AWA HQ looking after day-to-day operations, speaking with people, organising events and training, and thinking up the next cool thing we can do. Outside of work I’m probably in one of 3 places – at F45, on the mat practising yoga, or out in the countryside with my husband walking our whippet, Luna.
