We’re proud to announce that Carolyn McDonald, an incredibly knowledgable, perceptive and inspiring coach and mediator, will be sharing her rich coaching experience and expertise at this month’s meetup.. Simon and Philiy first met Carolyn during the excellent session she facilitates on the Barefoot Coaching Course. They were so inspired by her knowledge, approach, and the very diverse range of people she works with, that we invited Carolyn to share her wealth of insights with the agile community here in London.
We hope you can join Carolyn at the “Change. Why don’t you just do it” meetup on the 18th October at Pivotal in London.
Date: 18th October
Where: Pivotal, Old Street
Title: Change. Why don’t you just do it?
Interest: Coaching, Change
What we will be learning?
Carolyn will be looking at how coaching approaches change, the ideas around change and exploring the helping spectrum from non-directive to directive. We will become more aware of where we tend to be on this spectrum and the impact of our actions on others.
When we are working with individuals, teams and or organisations we are working with a range of thinking, feelings and behaviours. These are linked to how we are as individuals, the roles we hold and where we place ourselves in a group.
Agenda:
- 6:00 – 6:30 pm – arrivals
- 6:45 – 8:15/8:30pm – the workshop
- 8:30 – 9:00 – pizza, debrief 🙂

I work to connect others to a shared vision, sense of belonging and skills to enable us all to work more effectively together
As a former organisational leader I am particularly interested in how women are represented and function in the workplace. This is supported through my interest in Somatic Coaching and Group and Team Coaching.
I utilize a thoughtful client focused approach, built on a strong therapeutic and clinical base, while delivering on personal and organizational goals. I have 20 + years of experience working with individuals, teams, organisations which has included a therapeutic and or coaching approach.
