"....one of the best trainings I have ever attended... a lot of inspiration, an expanded mindset and toolbox to drive organisational agility, and personal growth."

Adventures with Agile are delighted to present – The Enterprise Agile Coach Expert Cohort Program – an experiential one-of-a-kind program that significantly raises the bar for Enterprise Agile Coaching.

Are you ready to advance your skilfulness and impact as an enterprise agile coach and take a dive deep into new territory for yourself as a coach, leader and practitioner?

About this program

The Enterprise Agile Coach Expert Cohort Program integrates theories (of human and organisation development, deep systems work, organisation design, and systemic thinking) coaching, and practice within a “deliberately developmental environment” for a life-time of transformation.

Under the guidance of your program leaders and mentors, and within a powerful community environment you will be both supported and challenged to move toward and beyond whatever leadership edges you’ve had difficulty crossing (or didn’t know you had).

Over the course of the program, a journey of inner growth builds on its own momentum, propelling both individual and collective toward a new possibility for what it means to lead, inspire, and catalyse deep change in the organisations in which your leadership is being called forth.

Learning outcomes

What will I gain from this program?

Enterprise Agile Coaching is a leadership role. As a result, self-development of yourself as a leader is a crucial cornerstone in becoming an enterprise coach. Not least because over time we have learned to be the experts and internalised biases that limit us.

We can overcome the expert mindset and biases by demonstrating self-development and growth, which benefits our relationships with others and the organisations that we serve. Because the world is constantly changing, we need to have the capacity and awareness to continually adapt and evolve too.

This isn’t just a one-off process. It’s a continual reformation of our own self character, abilities and to look inside oneself and actually improve not only our skills, our external skills, but our internal ability to work with others and ourselves.

Throughout our ICAgile Accredited Enterprise Agile Coaching Expert program we support you in taking the right steps to unlearn existing mindsets so that you can not only demonstrate self-awareness of your own strengths, weaknesses, and belief systems, as well as their impact on others, but also to the ability to manifest and “stand-in” one’s own leadership within the role of Enterprise Coach.

An enterprise coach needs to be able to help guide the process of change with a diverse range of people at various levels. This is due to the fact that people react differently to change, and different people react differently. The phrase “guiding the change process” means exactly what it says. An enterprise coach serves as a guide. It does not imply imposing, coercing, telling, or directing.

It does not mean introducing an enterprise-level process (for example, a scaling framework) into an organisation. That is a telling process, not a guiding process, and studies show that telling is not an effective approach to manage enterprise organisational change. Instead, we want to have a coaching conversation with the entire organisation.

This “coaching conversation” must be planned, and in our program, we show you how to use the AWA Playbook to co-create a strategy with your client and help them through the process of implementing, adapting, and sustaining the desired change.

This is a vast domain that encompasses a wide range of skills and scope, necessitating a thorough understanding of how to navigate it. It isn’t simply about agile coaching. You must also be able to demonstrate knowledge and skill in professional coaching. For example, while IT is frequently the emphasis of agile, this could not be further from the truth from an enterprise standpoint. All elements of the organisation, including HR, leadership, legal, and finance, must have a customer-centric focus.

As a result, this skill necessitates that you have the appropriate coaching scope to comprehend and navigate the many wants and desires of these various business areas at the enterprise level. You must demonstrate how you can bring the entire organisation out of its various silos and into a delivery system capable of effectively delivering products and services to customers.

As an enterprise coach, you need to be able to identify and recognise that different people have different experiences, needs and problems. And it is your job to know what it takes to coach everyone (and whether you have the skills to do so or not) – whether that is at one-on-one, team or systemic level and as well as how to bring the right people together at the various levels of the organisation to ensure that the organisation moves and adjusts as well.

This necessitates demonstrating your knowledge and competency in growing leadership so that they understand what business outcomes they require and what behaviours they must exhibit in order to accomplish those business outcomes. For example, how do you promote that behaviour throughout the organisation and implement a leadership development program to achieve the desired business outcomes?

To truly demonstrate proficiency in this area, Enterprise Agile Coaches must first improve their own leadership skills (as outlined in Developing Self as Leader), before helping others in accomplishing the same. This means that as an enterprise coach, you must have access to organisational leaders and work with them from a position of leadership yourself. If you don’t have access to senior leadership, how can you impact change in an organisation?

All of your knowledge and experience, as well as your ability to flex your expertise in agile, complexity theory, systems Intelligence, systems thinking, and systems awareness, among other things, come into play in this final competency, as does your ability to navigate between these practises using the AWA Playbook for Organisational Agility.

Above all, you must be able to demonstrate your skill and capability to guide your clients/organisations through an experimentation process using the aforementioned competencies to design the right approach for their specific context and level.

High praise for this program

“The world around us is changing in a profound way, in order to thrive in the digital age and stay resilient, organizations must rethink how to develop leaders and their workforce beyond technology. Creating enterprise agile coach capability is an essential enabler, that is often underestimated. I felt very privileged and honored to be part of a 3 years journey with AWA especially the “Expert in Enterprise Coaching Cohort Program”, where I have learnt tremendously from a group of amazing people across industries during a global pandemic, while applying some of the practices in successfully solving complex challenges. The program has helped me really to understand what it takes to achieve enterprise level business agility and what are the skills and competence required to implement and guide leaders in large organizations. A big thank you to Simon & Kevin, everyone at AWA & ICAgile who made this program possible. It was a truly unforgettable experience in my life.”

Experience long term team dynamics, experience applying new or not so new tools and approaches right as you learn and have a safe environment to share and exchange. If you have grown over regular trainings – I promise you that this one will let you grow yourself. One important note: consider investing your time and dive in yourself, 2-3 hr weekly, every week to take the most of it and it will return to you in years of experience of a diverse group of people.”
